I bought this book as a present for a young boy whose father is a professor of aeronautical engineering. The material is presented very well and covers all but the most recent commercial and military aircraft without a lot of boring detail. It not only describes the aircraft but covers interesting detail such as instrument panels, controls and flight gear.The book was everything I wanted - to expose this young man to the history of aviation.

my 4 1/2 year old grand nephew loves this book. it was a Christmas gift.
My 8 year old son loves this book!!! He absolutely loves all the pictures and any information he's gotten from it. The jets in particular have been a big topic of conversation during dinner. I'd definitely recommend!
I bought this book for my grandkids. Their dad works in the aerospace field and this is a good introduction for them to understand the history and principles of flight.

I liked it. It was really awesome but it was more of a history book. But it gave me some ideas for building planes with LEGOs and it was really fun! This book includes: history of planes, the Concord, helicopters, Zepplins, small planes, big planes and more!
