I bought this book for my Employment Law class, as it was required. It's not the best book, not as thorough as my Business Law book, "Contemporary Employment Law, Third Edition" (Aspen College), ISBN-13: 978-1454873433. My professor said out of all the text books she reviewed for employment law, this was the best one, but she wasn't thrilled with it either, and she is an attorney who works in the field.I did keep the book as a resource because it does have a lot of good information - even just to use as a reference while an employee. Good to be reminded of exactly what discrimination is, or who to contact (EEOC), if you think you have a case, etc.Pros: The "forms" the authors suggest using. These could really come in handy if I go into HR.Cons: Not enough review of the cases. Sometimes its not clear what actually happened, or what the final outcome of the case was.
Book is very informational so far. I am on the renting program through Amazon for this. So far so good. May consider buying it outright for future reference.
