If you want an adorable fast pace romance and will have you grinning and going "what the hell" in between there than this is defiantly the book for you. Chris cannon has been one of my top favorite authors since i came across her going down in flames series. "coughs" you should read that series after you finished this book if you haven't already. fair warning she makes you crave food like no other. so have a good snack with you. :D
So I won't go into spoiler plot details here some there seem to be plenty of reviews that already do so.My favorite thing about Chris cannons writing style with this series is that there's drama but it's very low key. It's not long and blown out of proportion like some authors like to do. If you want a fun and cute read with a happy ending this book is for you!!
I found it a little slow to start but then it gets so involving you read to the end as quickly as possible.
One of my favorites! Delia is a relatable character and the situations are realife. Being friend zoned is not easy. Everyone has felt that at least once. Her relationship with Jack is perfectly paced and doesnt feel forced, which is very important. Great teen romance with a little tug at the heart eveey now and then. Definitely a must read.

In any teen drama you need a few things. Family conflict, emotionally charged kids, and some average problems that seem like totally so much worse. This book hits all key items for this teen drama where the little sisters bestfriend and the older brother start to fall for each other. This is one of those taboo teen things. You don't fall for your bestfriends brother or sister. It can just become too awkward. Even just being regular friends can be tough if the siblings are just little kids. I've seen it happen with my brother and his girlfriend, they broke up and not only broke each others heart but also our little sisters.The characters were interesting in this book because they weren't made to sound so overly dramatic that teens tend to be. Jack is a mostly content kid who from time to time deals with his grief over his father and grandfather by lashing out at those closest to him. Delia is Jack's little sister Zoe's best friend. She's an artsy type that pretty much lives at Jack and Zoe's house because her parents are always away working nights. So she is mostly alone.I did receive a free e-copy of this book from the publisher so my review is going to be based off that.This was a nice story to read, but I do feel like there are some things that could be improved upon. One thing is the scene changes feel clunky and snapped into place. For an example Jack was upset at one point and he just walks off. He doesn't notice anyone else around him. It's like Jack "blah blah…" and he walks away. There's was nothing like "he noticed the sad look his mother gave him as he turned away" or anything like that. As an adult reader I can assume because of the mothers feelings being expressed in other scenes of the book but I feel like things like that could have added so much more to the story.
I really wanted to love this book. It sounded very cute and adorable. And honestly, who doesn't love a fluffy little contemporary? Plus, that cover just makes my heart all fuzzy. But there was just some things I couldn't look past and it kind of hindered my enjoyment of this book.I think for starters, my version of this book was formatted very poorly. I had a lot of column like pages and it made the book a little hard to read. This could be my Kindle as well. I have an older version of the Fire Kindle by Amazon. I also think that mine was uncorrected proof, which would make sense as there was a lot of little errors and sentence structure issues. This just needed a once over by an editor and I think it would be good to go.I liked the characters for the most part. There was a lot but I was able to keep track of them all due to their personalities. They were fleshed out pretty well, which sometimes doesn't happen with contemporaries. Delia was a good and solid character. I liked that she was confident about herself but she still had insecurities. Jack was alright. He was a little over the top with his issues about Delia keeping Aiden's secret. Aidan and Zoe were fleshed out pretty well. I wouldn't mind reading a book on Zoe. She was the most fun.Overall, I liked this book but I think the formatting issues and editing issues really hindered me from loving this book. I think it was also a bit too simplistic. But that might be a me not you type of situation. I am 24 years old and my reading tastes have changed as I have gotten older. However, despite the less than stellar review, I think this book would be good for younger teens that are interested in starting romance and contemporary novels.
